The goal is to design, fabricate and erect a steel bridge based on a rules document that describes the competition and states the official rules. At competition, bridges are usually judged on construction time, weight, stiffness, load capacity, as well as aesthetics.
AISC works with host schools to plan the Regional Events and the National Finals. Any questions regarding the competition in general, Rules, or National Finals can be directed to universityprograms@aisc.org.
Students who have an interest are encouraged to join and help. Meetings are weekly. It is a great opportunity to get involved!
