My research interests include a variety of geotechnical topics such as:

  • Mechanical behavior of gassy soils; especially sands, silty sands and marine clays
  • Ground improvement of soils susceptible to liquefaction by means of soil desaturation (air injection)
  • Field instrumentation, monitoring and testing of geo-structures
  • Measurement and analysis of vibrations induced by construction activities and machines
  • Linear and non-linear soil-structure interaction
